Palani hill wildlife sanctuary:

The Gods asked Anasuya Devi to make their offerings in nudity. She agreed and changed the Gods as babies with her devotion, fed them & put them to sleep in a cradle. Athri came back afterward and hearing the story from Anasuya praised the three gods sleeping in the cradle. Later, the Trinities come back to their original form and give a boon to Anasuya. According to her wish, three children were born to her – Shiva is born as Sage Durvasa, Vishnu as Dattatreya, and Brahma as Chandra (Moon). Hence, this region is named as Thirumoorthy Hills.
Thekkathotam falls:
Thekkanthottam, yet another beautiful waterfall, is located near the Thekkanthottam village. The water in the falls is taken through pipes and stored in Palani Hills in a tank. This water is circulated around Palani after it is filtered. The tank is called the Water Dam. One has to board on to a bus, get down at Thekkanthottam village and take a walk to the falls that lie approximately 4 kilometres from the bus stop. There are frequent buses from Palani to the falls. The surrounding area is serene as well as calm and one has to climb little rocks to reach the Thekkanthottam waterfalls.
Periyanayakki Amman temple:
Popularly called ‘Town Temple’, ‘Ûr-k-kovil’ and ‘Ûr-Ambalam’, this large and spacious temple is in the heart of Palani town, two kilometres from Adivaram. Built four centuries ago by the Nāyaks and enlarged by chieftains of Palani, Ayakudi and Neikkarappatti, it has Goddess Periyanāyaki as the presiding deity; there are sanctums for Muttukumāraswāmi, Subramanyar, Kailāsanāthar and Nātarajar. In the Muttukumāra Swāmi shrine, within the iron railings are a series of festival deities, the last of which Uchi Mahākāli is an amazing piece of art.
This temple is essentially a Muruga shrine with other shrines added perhaps at later stages. This is clear from the fact that the central tower is over Muruga’s shrine. The flagstaff and image of the vehicle are all in front of Muruga only. Kailāsanātha is on the northern side and Periyanāyaki on the southern side with Muruga in the centre, or in between father and other. This seating arrangement is known as Somāskanda Mūrtam.

Kuthiraiyar Falls is located in the Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu. It is part of the hill station city of Palani.
